THE MYTH OF EVOLUTION

The instructions for how to build, operate, and repair living cells represent a vast amount of information (estimated at 12 billion bits). Information is a mental, non-material concept. It can never arise from a natural process and is always the result of an intelligence.

Just as a newspaper story transcends the ink on the paper, life’s DNA itself (like the ink) is not the information, it is simply a physical representation or housing of the information (the story). Modifying the DNA via mutation can never produce new genetic information to drive upward evolution, just as spilling coffee on the newspaper, thereby modifying the distribution of the ink, will never improve the story.

NUORET RAIKKAAT TUULET BAN MAI SAWAN-OPPILASKODISSA

Eilen, 27.2 2010, oli BMS-oppilaskodissa läksiäisjuhla 8:lle oppilaille.Tilaisuudesta muodostui erittäin lämminhenkinen, liikuttava ison perheen juhla. Jumalan Pyhä Henki oli siunaamassa meitä kaikkia !
Kahdeksan nuorta lähtee monen vuoden uurastuksen jälkeen pois oppilaskodista etsimään seuraavaa elämänvaihetta. 6 tyttöä on suorittanut lukion ja kaksi poikaa ylä-asteen.

Oppilaskodin johtaja Somphon Sunsathian ( " Myphon " ) toivotti kodin väen tervetulleeksi. Tilaisuus alkoi erittäin maukkaalla ilta-aterialla. Ja kyllä ruoka maistui nuorille ! Voi että he söivät. Kyllä se diabeetikollekin maistui liian hyvin. Illallisen jälkeen laulettiin sydämellisiä lauluja lähtijöille.

Allekirjoittanut sai tehtävän rohkaista heitä eteenpäin elämän seuraavan vaiheeseen ja kaidalla tiellä.
Jokaiselle lukiolaiselle luovutettiin oppilaskodin muistolahja, vaalean turkoosi T-paita jossa oli oppilaskodin logo. Tunnelma vain tiivistyi. Monet eri lapset innostuivat spontaanisti laulamaan omia laulujaan lähtijöille ja pitivät lyhyitä kiitospuheita " isoille siskoille ja -veljille" ! Halattiin, itkettiin ja naurettiin ! Sisarakkaus oli liikuttavan lämmintä ! ( Katso kuvia ).

Johtaja, keittäjä Laan ja apulainen Sirirak puhuivat lähtijöille lämpimästi ! Viileässä illassa tarjottiin meille lämmintä hedelämäkeittoa ja lapsille jaettiin vielä suklaavohveleita ! Oli ihanaa seurata, miten isot pojatkin nauttivat, kun saivat kantaa sylissään Myphonin siskon vauvaa ja muita henkilökunnan lapsia, jotka olivat mukana. TODELLA IHANA PERHE ! Tuula ja minä nautimme tilaisuudesta kolme tuntia.

Tuula och jag återvände nyss  från vår första visit till elevhemmet och församlingen  i MaeLanoi nära Burmas gräns. Distriktet är en av de fattigaste i Thailand. Resan från Chiangmai längs den krokiga bergsvägen räcker 4,5 timme (150 km).  Invånarna i bergen här utgörs huvudsakligen av Karen, Lawa och Shan stamfolk. Thailands högta berg, Doi Inthanon , 2.565 m,  finns också på dessa breddgrader.

Som tf. övervakare av elevhemmet I MLN och stöd för pastorn i församlingen, är vår uppgift att besöka dem en gång i månaden. Vi ska  gå igenom elevhemmets bokföring och predika och undervisa  i församlingen. I  MaeRim, 15 km från vår bostad, har vi samma uppgift. Dem besöker vi  2-3 gånger per vecka.

Nämnda elevhem Betlehem, i MLN och Ban Mai Sawan i MR,  ingår i projektet New Life Center som påbörjades i  MR 1989 av missionär Verner Raassina med enkla bambubyggnader . Finlands UM beviljade medel för elevhemsprojektena i ett senare skede.

Barnen och ungdomarna kommer från byar uppe i bergen. För dem är hjälpen som möjligör skolgång och  tillgång till skyddad bostad under skolterminerna, en stor förändring i livet. Endel av barnen är  föräldralösa, men alla är i behov av hjälp. Båda elevhemmen har nära anknytning till ortens pingstförsamlingar som också startades av missionär Raassina och thailändska bröder.

Dessa “oaser” hjälper bergens fattiga familjer att ge sina barn och ungdomar skolgång . Utan utbildning får dessa ungdomar inte fotfäste i livet ! De sociala problemen i  dessa distrikter och kommuner är enorma. Knark , analfabetism, misär,utnyttjande av barn,  prostitution, HIV och Aids.

Generatorn på Bergstoppen

 Det var fascinerande att vara med den 50 årige pastor Samran och några skolhemsansvariga på deras böneplats på en av de otaliga bergstopparna. Vi stannade där i 2,5 timme i bön och lovprisning. Ibland låg pastorn med ansiktet mot marken och grät inför Herren. En nöd för ofrälsta anhöriga och syndare är utmärkande för den Ande dom har ! Det är ju inte mera än 50 km till Omkoi där den omtalade väckelsen började för några år sedan. Vi upplevde Herrens  närvaro på ett speciellt sätt. Arbetssamma, kampfyllda och välsignade timmar då generatorn  för de kristnas liv, församlingens  tillväxt och samhällets helande, var igång !

Gud belönade oss med att få se en underbar solnedgång över Burmas bergshorisont. Sedan föll mörkret. Vi kom överens med pastor Samran att det ska bli tradition att varje gång vi besöker MaeLanoi  ska vi tillsammans sätta igång generatorn på bergstoppen ! Som ni förstår  var det lätt att predika följande dag  i söndagens gudstjänst !

CAMPUS TRAGEDY – 90 MINUTES OF HORROR

Today , writing this blog, the sun shines from a clear sky ! Different colours of the trees  are turning nature into a scenery of beauty with sparkling effects.  Today the atmosphere is specially peaceful, almost supernatural.  It feels like  rhythm of life has stopped in our society.

However, today 24.09 2008, the Finnish flag is at half-mast again in a short time!  Yesterday, evil forces once again , hit a deep wound in the heart of the Finnish nation. The shooting tragedy in Kauhajoki  Vocational  School resulted in eleven young victims.

Today the hearts of my dear fellow countrymen are  troubled , asking and depressed ! The sunshine, warm weather and silence makes it easier to stand the situation, but does not take away the pain. It does not answere   the basic questions:  Why, why, why ? It doesn..t dry away the  tears  from  family members that lost their loved  ones !

Mothers and fathers are asking : "What is the future for our  youngsters  in the school-world "? Students feel unsafe in buildings that before were safe,  joyful collectives . Now they have become places of horror in a country known for its high schoolstandards and results. Folks, this is really sad !

Some people blame God for this ! The same God they were giving thanks to when the war with Russia was over and the soldiers left after occupying our country ! God that so many times has been our shelter and help in times of crises and wars! Why did He help then? Because almighty God  saw this small nation and its need. He saw the mothers and the old people who were on their knees praying for our nation and their young men at the frontline.

Beause God is a loving God, He heard the Finnish people when they repented their sins and disobedience towards Him . The same thing will happen once again. A time of comfort , refreshing  is soon coming to our people, in fact it has already began ! The Light of Life will shine again and the forces of darkness and death have to surrender ! Life is stronger than death. The victory of Christ also includes victory over death  !

The good years after the last war with Russia  gave our country many blessings and a high standard of living. But the the good times made us  run after money, standard and glamour. We left our children and young people alone, and now we experience the results.

When I  worked among children and young people in poor countries and slums  I was astonished to see their happiness despite of their poverty ! In general they were more spontaneous, whole inside  and  more happy than children of rich people in my country ! Why  ? Now I understand ! They had loving parents and grandparents who took care of them and shared the time with them ! Things that cannot be bought by money !

Today my prayer and also the prayers  of many of my fellow countrymen is : " Dear Lord, Forgive us our selfishness and  arrogance towards You ! We have forgotten You, Lord. Turn our hearts again towards our children and help us to take care of them in the right way ! Lord heal our nation and help us to comfort the families of the victims !"

PROJECT FOR HIV INFECTED IN HUAY KHRAI

    IN THE VILLAGE SOCIETIES  OF HUAY KHRAI DEATH HAS VISITED MOST OF THE HOMES IN THE RECENT YEARS. THERE ARE LOTS OF AIDS-ORPHANS ! PASTOR BUNTHAM SITTHIWONG HAS A PASSION FOR THESE SUFFERING PEOPLE. 2006 HE AND HIS CHURCH (NATHEETHAM  CHURCH) STARTED A PROJECT TO TAKE CARE OF THESE MEN AND WOMEN "OUTSIDE" THE SOCIETY ! tHE HEALTH AUTHORYTIES OF HUEY KHRAI AND SOME BUDDHIST ABBOTS JOINED THIS PROJECT ! mY WIFE TUULA AND I WAS EVEN WELCOMED INTO THE PROJECT !
